I’ve just been asked by the John Templeton Foundation if they can use my photo of a Foucault’s pendulum in a workshop booklet. (I agreed, of course. I rarely feel as if a photograph is my own work, any more than an outfielder creates the baseball he captures at the right time and place.)
And this isn’t the first time, either — Ny Teknik (Sweden) used the same photo with my permission.
I should really track down that photo and scan it at a higher resolution…
That is awesome! Congratulations!
On a sort-of related note, ‘ dad tried to make a print the other day at a Walgreens or somesuch, using an image from my website. They refused to print it, saying that it was obviously a professional photograph, and he’d have to get a release to be able to make prints. Unfortunately, he still hasn’t told me which one it was.
heh. kudos to the both of you.
